The Best Places to Stream Movies (Not Download)


There's no reason to download movies and worry about torrents or file storage, and especially download time, when you can just stream movies for free online. There are lots of places to stream movies, so how do you pick just one?

When deciding on a movie streaming website, the two most important things to keep in mind are how tolerable the ads are (they all have ads but some sites are not so intrusive) and how good of quality you can get from the videos.

Below is a hand-picked list of only the best movie streaming websites. The ads aren't too much to handle and the movies are new and old, usually in excellent quality. You can start them in seconds, and if you have a Chromecast, they play nicely while streaming to your HDTV, too.

Important: I do not personally condone using any of these websites to watch copyrighted videos. They are most likely illegal in most countries, so be aware that it might not be in your best interest to stream movies online if they are still in theaters, only recently released to DVD, and are not in the public domain.

There are multiple reasons this is my favorite torrent downloader, which I'll explain below. However, if you want just one reason, consider that you can download torrents through your web browser without a desktop client, from anywhere you have access to the internet.
